If you can tear yourself away from the unique
cottages, there are lots of things to do around River's Bend Resort.
You start of course with the Glover River,
the last wild free flowing river in Oklahoma and an incredible natural
resource. During the wet season the Glover offers white water
adventure for canoes and kayaks. While water levels drop substantially
in the dry season the mile long pool at River's Bend Resort always
retains water for a gentle canoe ride and fishing. Our river
is known for its elusive small mouth bass fishing and each cottage
at River's Bend Resort has its own canoe that is always available.
Horseback Riding
You can
now enjoy horseback riding for small groups on our property and the
adjacent acreage. Please call for details.
Surrounding River's Bend Resort is the Three
Rivers Wildlife Management Area. You have access to 450,000
acres of forested countryside covered in a mix of loblolly pine
and native hardwoods. Opportunities are almost unlimited for hiking,
hunting, birding and wildlife watching, ATV/4WD riding, rock hunting
and horseback riding.
Located nearby is the Broken Bow Lake - Beavers
Bend Resort State Park area offering major lake water sports.
Boat rentals of all kinds are available from seadoos and jet-ski's
to fishing boats and party barges.
Above and below Broken Bow lake is the Mountain
Fork River offering world class fly fishing. Guides and
rentals are available for fishing, hunting and canoeing. Just let
us know what you would like to do and we can arrange it for you.
And if your idea of outdoor adventure
is a restful in room massage we have a licensed massage therapist
available by advanced reservation.
Family Friendly
River's Bend Resort is a wonderful facility for families. Our natural
setting is a perfect opportunity for children to learn about our
wild mountain ecosystem (with parental supervision). Some of your
favorite memories of River's Bend Resort may be gathering around
one of our riverside fire pits for an evening campfire and marshmellow
roast!
However, because of our location alongside the Glover River we do
not accept small children. Kids over the age of 12 are welcome.
